Courtney Thorne-Smith Bio

Courtney Thorne-Smith (born November 8 in 1967) is an American actor from America. Her roles include Alison Parker in Melrose Place, Georgia Thomas in Ally McBeal, Cheryl In According to Jim and Lyndsey McElroy's role in Two and a Half Men. Thorne Smith was born in San Francisco and raised in Menlo Park (a suburb to San Francisco). Walter Smith was her father and Lora Thorne was her mother. Both were computer-based market researchers. Courtney seven years old at the time, divorced her father Walter Smith. She lived with both of her parents in different periods of time. Jennifer, her older sibling is an ad executive. She attended Menlo Atherton High School in Atherton, California and graduated Tamalpais High School in Mill Valley in 1985. She also performed for the Ensemble Theater Company in Mill Valley as she was in high school. Thorne-Smith's first film appearance in the 1986 feature film drama Lucas as well as Winona Ryder Corey Haim, and Charlie Sheen. She was also involved in numerous films in the latter half of the 1980s, such as Welcome to 18 (1986), Revenge of the Nerds II: Nerds in Paradise (1987), Summer School (1987), and Side Out (1990). In 1998, she appeared as the star of the box-office film Chairman Of The Board, which was a flop with Carrot Top. She also appeared in Sorority Wars in 2009. Thorne Smith dated Andrew Shue in the 1990s. He was her screen love from Melrose Place. The actress was married to geneticist Andrew Conrad in June 2000. They divorced in 2001. Roger Fishman, the president of Zizo Group marketing and author of What I Know, was her husband. On the 11th of January 2008, when she was 40 years old she gave birth Jacob Emerson Fishman, her son.
